Patriot swimmers sweep Tell City

TELL CITY – Heritage Hills swept Tell City in swimming last Thursday as the Patriot boys won 116-59 and girls won 145-35.

On the boys side, Heritage Hills’ 200-yard medley relay team of Sam Pinckert, Josh Halvorson, Jack Patmore and Austin Schnuck won in 1:55.18.

Schnuck also won the diving with 210.85 points. Pinckert won the 100 freestyle in 52.43 seconds and Josh Halvorson won the 500 freestyle in 5:32.10.

Gavin Fuchs won the 200 free in 1:53.48 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.00. Samuel Martin won the 50 free in 23.04.

Patmore, Fuchs, Pinckert and Martin won the 200 free relay in 1:36.77 and Martin, Halvorson, Schnuck and Fuchs won the 400 free relay in 3:34.75.

In the girls’ 90-point victory, Samantha Skelton won the 200 free in 2:24.09 and the 100 butterfly in 1:13.58.

Skelton, Emily Porter, Vicki Nelson and Hannah Blake won the 200 medley relay in 2:12.59.

Nelson also won the 200 individual medley in 2:39.64. Hannah Blake was first in the 50 free in 27.17 and 100 free in 1:02.16.

Elizabeth Williams won the diving with 166.20 points.

Aubrey Ruxer, Jalynn Fortwendel, Poster and Hannah Taylor won the 200 free relay in 2:01.37.

Fortwendel also won the 100 backstroke in 1:14.21 and Abby Williams was first in the 100 breast in 1:25.15.

Skelton, Blake, Ruxer and Nelson won the 400 free relay in 4:18.53.
