Chisney VFD chicken dinner Nov. 3


CHRISNEY – The Annual Chrisney Fire Department Chicken Dinner will be held Nov. 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the St. Martin Parish Hall in Chrisney.


Medicine Cabinet Clean-Out Day


CHRISNEY – Spencer County Substance Abuse Council along with Spencer County Solid Waste Management District, Spencer County Prosecutor’s Office and Federal D.E.A. are sponsoring a Medicine Cabinet Clean-Out Day on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 8am-12pm.  The four locations are Santa Claus, St. Meinrad, Dale and Rockport Volunteer Fire Departments.


HHHS choir Fright Nights begin Oct. 27


LINCOLN CITY – Come One. Come All. Witness something you’ve never seen before. Heard before. Dreamt before. The most amazing show on earth, Fright Night 2018. Join the Heritage Hills High School Choir under the big top as they sing and dance to today’s hits. Is it true what they say? Is it all just fun and games? Or is there more behind the make-up and the faces full of paint?

The show will be held Saturday Oct. 27, Tuesday, Oct. 30 and Wednesday, Oct. 31. Carnival games begin at 5:30 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. and show time will be 6:30 p.m. A Trick-or-Treat trail will take place immediately following the performance.

The cost of tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students and children 5 and younger are free. Wear a costume and receive $1 off admission price.


Luce pancake breakfast set for Nov. 3


RICHLAND – A pancake breakfast benefiting the Luce Fire Territory will be held Saturday, Nov. 3, from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Richland Fire Station. The cost will be $5 for three pancakes and two sausages or $10 all-you-can-eat.

There will also be raffles, milk, orange juice and coffee available.


Troy fire department soup fundraiser Nov. 4


TROY – Troy Fire Department’s annual fall soup sale will be held Sunday, Nov. 4, at the firehouse. Serving will start at 11 a.m. and soup will be available by the bowl or gallon.

Take containers for bulk soup.
