The grounds were lined with a number of attractions and filled with hundreds of members of the electric cooperative. The features on display included several staples from previous years, including rides in bucket trucks, safety demonstrations, refreshments and a meal and business meeting at the community center. A new attraction this year came from the skies, as a life-flight helicopter crew flew in to offer a close look at the vehicle that helps evacuate victims from remote areas for life-saving treatment. The helicopter kicked up a great gust of wind as it took off for the evening and flew over the event. Experienced bucket-truck operators with Southern Indiana Power demonstrate the capabilities of their vehicles and offer a bird’s-eye view of the Spencer County 4-H Fairgrounds.
