SPENCER COUNTY — On Sunday, April 28, 2024, at approximately 4:52 p.m., the Spencer County Coroner’s Office along with the Spencer County Sheriff’s Office were called to Indiana 64 eastbound around the 65 mile marker to investigate a single vehicle accident resulting in one fatality.

The driver and passenger of the green Ford Explorer were transported to a nearby hospital. The third occupant died on scene was later identified as 66-year-old Neal Vaughan from Evansville. Mr. Vaughan’s family has been notified.
