GRANDVIEW – Helen M. Richard, 89, of Grandview passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at the Woodland Convalescent Center in Newburgh.

Helen was born Aug. 14, 1922, in Owensboro, Ky.
Helen was a homemaker and hairdresser.  She had also worked at General Electric. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Garnet Chapter 146 and Martha Rebecca Lodge in Newtonville.  Helen was also a member of the Rockport American Legion Post 254 Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Buss” Richard; a daughter, Darla Dee Reynolds; her mother, Artelia Winters; her father, Guy “Pop” Winters and a sister, Jane Winters.
Helen is survived by her children, Carole Sue Richard of Owensboro, Stephen L. Richard and his wife, Eloise of Evansville and Gary Don Richard and his wife, Deborah of Grandview; her grandchildren, David Scott Sturgeon, Lea Ann Sturgeon Bland, Matthew Badger, Scott Richard, Lori Richard Mendel, Greg Scott Richard, Brandi Richard Mueller and Stephen Scott Reynolds and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, Jan. 30, at the Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. The Rev. Walter Phillips officiated. Burial was in Grandview Cemetery in Grandview.
