ROCKPORT – Agnes Weatherholt, 96, of Rockport passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.

Agnes was born in Grandview Nov. 11, 1915, to the late Bird E. and Dona (Sauter) Rue.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing the piano. She was also a member of the Hatfield United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Damon Weatherholt in 1994; a sister, Eloise Farrell and a son-in-law, Roger Herring.
Agnes is survived by her daughter, Karen Herring of Rockport; her grandchildren, Lisa Stuteville and her husband, Brian of Rockport, Lori Herring of Wilmington, N.C., and Bradley Herring of Rockport; great-grandchildren Brice, Ryan and Jake Stuteville and Jamie, Claire and Katie Witmer and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Monday, Feb. 13, at the Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. The Rev. David Cotton officiated. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Grandview.
